 About Us
​The Institute of Arts and Humanities​ is a permanent Teaching and Research Unit of the University of Minho. Its main purpose is to ensure the development of research projects and teaching activities, as well as other specialised services in Arts and Human Sciences in conjunction with other structures of the University, and in accordance with the general objectives envisaged in its Statutes.

The Institute holds permanent international contacts and exchanges not only with the Universities of the European Union but also with other Universities, based on Protocols developed for that purpose. Thus, the Institute actively follows and participates in the international university life.

The fulfilment of the Institute's goals is ensured by its various bodies whose purpose is the development and management of its activities in the cultural, scientific, teaching and service dimensions, as well as administrative and financial management.
