This Cycle of Studies meets the training needs of graduates in Applied Languages or of any other discipline with an interest in the professions of the languages. All applicants must possess proven advanced language skills to develop theoretical and technical skills in specific areas such as translation, subtitling, tourism and community interpretation.
Masters’ students will have two foreign working languages, The two working languages of each student will be in addition to mandatory Portuguese, two fo the following- Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese Spanish, or Russian.
In addition to a common core, the course offers two training profiles: Translation; Tourism and Culture.
The course has a curricular part of three semesters with seminars, practical and laboratory classes, project work. The fourth semester was devoted to internship or thesis work.
Internships may be held in Portugal or in international organizations / companies with which UM has established a protocol.
1st phase - 20 to 28 April 2021 - international and national students
2nd phase - 28 June to 7 July 2021 - international and national students
3rd phase - August 30 to September 03, 2021 - places left over from the previous two phases for international and national students
N.B. In any of the contingents (international and national), vacancies that may not be filled will revert in favor of the other contingent.
